Technical notes for planning

WPC decking boards require a carefully planned substructure. A stable foundation, sufficient ventilation, a slight slope, and appropriate distances from house walls, curb stones, and fixed components are important. This allows water to drain and ensures the boards have enough space for temperature-related movement.

In everyday use, WPC boards are low-maintenance. Dirt can usually be removed with water, a brush, and a suitable cleaning agent. Regular oiling or painting, as is often the case with wood boards, is not required.

Usage should also be considered when selecting your boards. Darker boards may heat up more in direct sunlight than lighter shades. Structured profiles, such as variants with 3D Structure, can give the board pattern more depth and should be selected according to your desired look and usage.

Tip: If you prefer a terrace with a natural wood surface, wood decking boards might be a better fit. If, however, you are looking for a low-maintenance, splinter-free board with a uniform appearance, WPC decking boards are the better choice.
