Ipê Prime KD grooved decking board 21 × 145 mm fixed lengths

Ipê Prime KD grooved – Decking board 21 × 145 mm in fixed lengths

With its warm brown tone, lively grain, and grooved surface, this Ipê decking board gives your patio a calm and high-quality appearance. The uniform longitudinal grooves subtly structure the surface and emphasize the direction of installation without overshadowing the natural effect of the wood.

The grooved profile combines clean lines with the natural color patterns of Ipê. The grain and color nuances remain clearly visible, giving every patio an individual look. Without pigmented care, the natural brown tone will gradually change to a silver-grey patina due to the sun and weather.

Hard and durable

Ipê decking boards are characterized by their high hardness and natural durability. The wood is classified as durability class 1–2 and is suitable for long-term use on patios when installed professionally.

• High surface hardness: With a Brinell hardness of 48–60 N/mm², Ipê is resistant to mechanical stress.
• Kiln-dried: Our professional technical drying to approximately 16–18% wood moisture content reduces the risk of significant deformation after installation. However, due to changing outdoor weather conditions, natural dimensional changes and cracking can never be completely ruled out.

Installation instructions

For a consistently good result, a professional substructure, sufficient rear ventilation, and unimpeded water drainage are particularly important.

• Gap spacing: For patios directly exposed to weather, a gap of 7 mm should generally be provided. For areas not directly exposed to weather, the distance can be reduced to at least 4 mm.
• Tools and fastening: Due to the high hardness of Ipê, it is important to use suitable tools. In general, we recommend pre-drilling and countersinking the screw holes.

Further information on the substrate, substructure, fastening, gap spacing, and maintenance can be found in our installation tips for wooden decks.
