Thermo Ash Prime KD grooved decking board 21 × 130 mm system board tongue & groove

Thermo Ash Prime KD grooved – Decking board 21 x 130 mm with tongue & groove system

Natural elegance meets high durability – decking boards made of thermo-treated ash.

The Thermo Ash Prime KD grooved decking board 21 × 130 mm impresses with its sophisticated appearance, high dimensional stability, and exceptional resilience. The precisely crafted tongue-and-groove system on the ends allows for nearly seamless longitudinal installation, creating a harmonious, continuous deck surface – aesthetically and technically of a high standard.

Manufactured from domestic ash, the wood is treated in a thermal refinement process that permanently stabilizes its structure while emphasizing the natural grain. Through this treatment, the decking board acquires its characteristic deep brown color and achieves durability class 1 according to DIN EN 350-2 – comparable to the best tropical woods.

Thermo-ash is therefore a great alternative to tropical hardwoods. It offers excellent protection against moisture, fungal decay, and pests, is dimensionally stable, and easy to maintain. The surface with longitudinal grooves also ensures a slip-resistant and visually appealing structure.

Thanks to kiln drying (KD), the material remains dimensionally stable, while the reduced tendency to swell and shrink facilitates professional installation. When installing, a gap of at least 4 mm should be maintained, and pre-drilling of all screw holes is required to prevent stress cracks.
