With its warm brown tone, vibrant grain, and smooth planed surface, this Ipê decking board gives your patio a calm and high-quality appearance. The smooth surface beautifully highlights the natural color nuances of the wood and ensures a clean, uniform look.

Since it has no grooves or indentations, loose dirt is generally easier to remove than with profiled boards. Without pigmented maintenance, the natural brown tone will gradually change into a silver-grey patina due to sun and weathering.

Hard and durable

Ipê decking boards are characterized by their high hardness and natural durability. The wood is classified in durability class 1–2 and, when installed professionally, is suitable for long-term patio use.

• High surface hardness: With a Brinell hardness of 48–60 N/mm², Ipê is resistant to mechanical stress.
• Kiln-dried: Our professional kiln-drying to approximately 16–18% wood moisture reduces the risk of significant deformation after installation. Due to changing weather conditions outdoors, however, natural dimensional changes and cracking can never be completely ruled out.

Installation notes

A professional substructure, sufficient rear ventilation, and unobstructed water drainage are particularly important for a permanently good result.

• Joint spacing: For patios directly exposed to the weather, a 7 mm joint is generally required. For areas not directly exposed to the weather, the distance can be reduced to at least 4 mm.
• Tools and fastening: Due to the high hardness of Ipê, care must be taken to use suitable tools. We generally recommend pre-drilling and countersinking the screw holes.
