The Thermo-Pine decking board impresses with its excellent combination of a natural look, high durability, and improved dimensional stability. Through a special thermal treatment process, the wood is treated with steam at temperatures of over 200 °C, which purposefully optimizes its properties.

High dimensional stability: Due to the thermal treatment, moisture absorption is significantly reduced. This minimizes swelling, shrinking, and warping significantly compared to untreated wood.

Improved durability: The thermal treatment removes nutrients from the wood for wood-destroying fungi and microorganisms. As a result, thermally modified wood is significantly more resistant to rot and biological degradation.

Ideal for outdoor use: Thermo-Pine is specially suited for use in outdoor areas (Thermo-D process). The service life is significantly increased compared to untreated wood.

Improved thermal insulation: Due to the thermal modification, the thermal conductivity of the wood decreases by approx. 20%, which makes the surface feel more comfortable.

Appearance & properties

Thermo-Pine is characterized by a warm, brown color, which is created by the caramelization of the wood's own sugars. Over time – if the surface is left untreated – the wood develops an elegant silver-grey patina without losing its durability.

The reduced wood moisture (approx. 4–6%) ensures a particularly stable and long-lasting product.
