G-Park 2-layer parquet

G-Park 2-layer is a high-quality two-layer parquet for full-surface bonding. Its construction, consisting of a real wood wear layer and a stabilizing backing layer, supports dimensional stability. Full-surface bonding provides a solid parquet feel. The system is particularly suitable for floor structures where low installation height and professional installation are important.

The compact format creates a classic parquet look with fine lines. It appears calmer than very small-scale patterns, yet more understated than wide plank formats. This makes G-Park 2-layer well-suited for living rooms, hallways, and open areas where a genuine wood floor with a calmer parquet effect is desired.

  Oak, smoked oak, red oak, beech, doussie, or wenge allow for different spatial effects – from calm and classic to dark and expressive.

Wood species, surface, and room effect

With G-Park 2-layer, the final room effect is primarily determined by the wood species, surface finish, and grading.

The wood species shapes the color, grain, and overall effect of the floor. Light and classic wood species appear more understated, while darker or more contrasting woods create stronger accents in the room.

The surface finish determines whether the wood appears open and natural, lighter and more understated, or calmer and more uniform. Oil makes the grain and color variations more visible, white pigmentation lightens the surface, and matte lacquer creates a calmer appearance. Raw sanded floors remain open for treatment after installation.

Installation height & format

G-Park 2-layer consists of a real wood wear layer and a stabilizing backing layer. This construction reduces wood movement and allows for thin profiles without sacrificing the natural effect of a real wood floor. This is especially helpful for renovations where structural conditions require a low installation height.

The narrower planks are particularly effective in smaller rooms, hallways, and areas with many door connections. They divide the area more finely than wide wide-plank floors and can therefore be easily planned even in floor plans with several transitions.

Tip: If a wider plank effect is desired, G-Park Maxi 2-layer could be a suitable alternative. G-Park 2-layer is particularly suitable when a more compact two-layer parquet with low installation height is desired.

Technical notes for planning

G-Park 2-layer is bonded across the entire surface and requires a level, stable, and sufficiently dry subfloor. Especially on screed, residual moisture, flatness, and strength should be professionally checked before installation.

Due to the full-surface bonding, G-Park 2-layer is firmly connected to the subfloor and may be suitable for hot water underfloor heating depending on the wood species.
