Garapa Prime KD grooved decking board 21 × 145 mm fixed lengths

Garapa Prime KD grooved – high-quality decking board 21 × 145 mm in fixed lengths

The Garapa Prime KD grooved decking board combines elegance, durability, and natural appeal for your patio. Made from Garapa wood, the board impresses with its high mechanical strength, natural durability, and characteristic honey-yellow hue, which darkens to a warm brownish tone after installation.

Garapa wood originates from South America (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay) and belongs to durability class 3 according to DIN EN 350-2, making it ideally suited for outdoor use. With a bulk density of 790–1,010 kg/m³ and a Brinell hardness of 30–79 N/mm², it is one of the most robust tropical woods, comparable to native white oak.

Through kiln drying, the wood is specifically adjusted to a moisture content of approximately 16–18%, which increases the dimensional stability of the boards. Due to the low swelling and shrinkage rate, gaps of at least 4 mm should be maintained during installation.

Processing instructions:
Garapa is easy to work with, but requires carbide-tipped tools. Pre-drilling is recommended to prevent screws from snapping or cracking. Avoid contact with iron to prevent grey-blue discoloration – therefore, stainless steel A4 fasteners are recommended.
