Ipê Prime KD French-style decking board 21 × 145 mm fixed lengths

Ipê Prime KD French profile – Decking board 21 × 145 mm in fixed lengths

With its warm brown tone, vibrant grain, and French profile, this Ipê decking board gives your patio a striking and high-quality appearance. The distinct longitudinal structure segments the surface and provides a varied look without overshadowing the natural effect of the wood.

The French profile emphasizes the laying direction and effectively showcases the natural color nuances of the Ipê wood. Without pigmented care, the natural brown tone will gradually change to a silver-grey patina due to sun and weather exposure.

Hard and durable

Ipê decking boards are characterized by their high hardness and natural durability. The wood is classified as durability class 1–2 and is suitable for long-term use in patios when installed professionally.

• High surface hardness: With a Brinell hardness of 48–60 N/mm², Ipê is resistant to mechanical stress.
• Kiln-dried: Our professional kiln drying to approximately 16–18% wood moisture reduces the risk of significant deformation after installation. Due to changing weather conditions outdoors, however, natural dimensional changes and cracking can never be completely ruled out.

Installation instructions

For a consistently good result, a professional substructure, adequate rear ventilation, and unobstructed water drainage are particularly important.

• Joint spacing: For patios directly exposed to weather, a joint of 7 mm should generally be provided. For areas not directly exposed to weather, the distance can be reduced to a minimum of 4 mm.
• Tools and fastening: Due to the high hardness of Ipê, ensure the use of suitable tools. We generally recommend pre-drilling and countersinking the screw holes.

Further information on the subgrade, substructure, fastening, joint spacing, and maintenance can be found in our installation tips for wooden decks.
